This raita hardly needs any effort
to make. Nonetheless am putting it
up. It is a wonderful accompaniment to
pulav's, biryanis and even assorted rotis.
So enjoy this lovely raita with the biryani today. Boondi is made of chickpea flour and are
small little balls which are fried, which look like confetti. Hmm!!! Not a very healthy option, but once in
a while I feel it is ok. So this is how the
raita is made.
Serves: 4Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
Yoghurt
|
1 cup
|
Boondi
|
1/2 cup + 1tbsp
|
Salt
|
1/2 tsp
|
Red chilli powder
|
A pinch
|
Chaat masala
|
A pinch
|
Method:
1. Take a cup of yoghurt
in a bowl and whish it until smooth.2. Add salt and the boondi and mix well.
3. Decorate the raita with the red chilli powder and chaat masala.
4. Enjoy.
NOTES:
1. Make this raita just
about when about to eat. Else it will
get too soggy.2. Adjust the salt according to your preference as the boondi also has a fair amount of salt.
3. For variation you can add finely chopped onions in the raita.
